2026 Lap-A-Thon Fundraiser Starts Now!!

Hello Lancer Families,

We are kicking off our annual Lap-A-Thon fundraiser this week! This fundraiser is crucial for covering our pool rental costs, coach salaries, and league fees while keeping our registration fees low. I will be handing out the attached flyer and talking to the swimmers about our prizes on deck this week. Please check your email for a message from the RallyUp platform so you can set-up your swimmers fundraising page. If you did not get this email, please reach out so I can ensure you are able to create their profile.

Due to the upcoming 4th of July break and the season ending at the end of July we will be running this fundraiser in an efficient manner. Our early incentive ducky prize race will be on Wednesday, July 1st during deep-end time for each age group (lil' lancers will do theirs in the shallow end). This additional incentive is for those who fundraise a flat donation amount of $90 prior to the lap swim. Just to put this goal into perspective... if each of our swimmers raised just $90, we would make over $20,000!!!

The Lap-A-Thon 30 minute lap sessions will happen on Monday, July 6th during practice (more info to follow on this). If you will be out of town during either this date please let me know by email or on deck during practice. Our RallyUp fundraiser will remain open until Wednesday, July 8th at 8pm for swimmers to get final donations.

Some thoughts to help you as you and your swimmer launch their fundraising efforts: older swimmers can swim approximately 60 - 25m laps while younger swimmers usually get 30 - 25m laps. Please let your family know that if they choose to do $10/lap that they may want to cap the donation at a certain amount to avoid shock when we close the fundraiser in July. Also, to keep the fundraising platform free for our team, we have to leave a tip option on our donation pages. The tip goes straight to RallyUp and does not come to the team. They can avoid the tip by selecting the other option and putting $0 as the tip or maybe lower it to $5 since RallyUp likes to put a larger number there. Just wanted to make you all aware of this donation platform quirk.

Special Note: We are asking that swimmers fundraise at least $60 to qualify for age group top lap swimmer prizes. Share on social media, walk the neighborhood, hold a bake sale, or encourage them to do some chores to meet this goal. This helps build community with their fellow swimmers, makes the difference for their age group winning the grand prize pool party, and gives them a shot at an extra prize/bragging rights!

Please contact me if you have any questions about our lap-a-thon or are interested in helping with this fundraiser. I will follow-up with an email this week with the specific needs to make this fundraiser a success. Many hands make light work!

Thank you!!

Carli Giles

Lap-A-Thon Coordinator
