I hope everyone has enjoyed a safe holiday weekend! It is crazy to think we only have 3 more weeks of swim left! Be sure to read through everything so you don’t miss all the fun!

1. Commit/Decline For ALL the Meets Left- It is hard to believe but we only have TWO regular meets left and then Divisionals! If you could please go in now to commit/decline for all THREE meets this week that would be very helpful! Planning for Divisionals starts a whole week before hand, so commitments have to be done early. Just save yourself some time and hassle and get them all done now. Thank you in advance!

2. Friday Funday, 7/11 - THEME: Dress Like a Pirate!

Water Polo 13 & Ups @ 7:45am

Funday Starts @ 9am

We will also be hosting our rescheduled LL/Jr Lancer Mini Meet. Please arrive no later than 9 am and meet under the big pavilion.

3. Swim Meet @ Ridgewood - This weekend we travel 3 lights down Old Bridge Road to a close rival. There is a long, competitive history between the Lancers and Barracudas and we are excited for a fun, well raced meet. Arrive by 6 am to be ready to check in at 6:15 am.

We need our strength in numbers this weekend! Let’s Go LANCERS!

4. DQs & Clinics: This week and next week, coaches will be working diligently on getting swimmers legal in new events. If your swimmer has been disqualified or has been learning a new stroke, please plan on having them attend a clinic this week: Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday from 11-11:30.

5. Lancer Buddy Theme - “Play All Day” - find or make a fun game or activity for your buddy to enjoy during down time at the meet.

-Wednesday, 7/9 8 & U ONLY Age Group Outing to Waterworks

-Tuesday, 7/15 13 & Ups ONLY Twilight Practice from 7:30-8:30pm. Attend this practice and earn the right to sleep in the next morning.

-Thursday, 7/17 Lancer Parent Practice from 7:30-8:30 pm. Calling all parents who want some swim instruction or want to build some empathy and understanding for what their swimmers go through! All abilities are welcome!

-Friday, 7/18 - Last Lil Lancer/Jr Lancer Swim Meet @ 9am with Awards immediately following the meet. This is their last day for the season and we look forward to celebrating their growth and accomplishments!

-Friday, 7/18 - 8 & U Age Group Ice Cream Social after Funday 10:30-11AM

-Tuesday, 7/22 - Team Potluck and Pool Party 6:30-8:30 PM - Come close out the last week of the season at a Lancer Family Party! More info to come.

-Saturday, 7/26 Divisionals Meet

All swimmers are eligible to swim in our Divisional Championship Meet on July 26th if they meet the following requirements:

1. Have participated/swam in at least TWO regular season swim meets

2. Have a legal swim/time in the event. This means that swimmers will only be eligible to swim events they have previously earned legal times in

If your swimmer has met these requirements, then they are to join us! This will be our most competitive meet all season! We will need all hands on deck for swimmers and parents. So please go on the website and commit now.

*If you have a swimmer that currently does not meet these requirements, you should have received an email from me yesterday, just so you are aware.

- Lancer Awards Ceremony, July 26th @ 6:30pm @ Grace Bible Church, Lorton VA. Please plan on joining us the evening after Divisionals to officially conclude our season. This is always a wonderful time to celebrate all we have done as a team. Please note that this is just for competitive team swimmers and immediate family. Space is limited but live streaming will be available to share with family and friends.
